Jackie Bibb

The Jacqulyn Bibb Memorial Culinary Arts Scholarship

The $1,000 Jacqulyn “Jackie” Bibb Memorial Scholarship was established in 2022 by Women In Touch, Inc., Carl Stokes, Lee Terrell, friends, co-workers, and many others to honor Jackie.

Jackie was a dedicated member of Women In Touch, Inc. (WIT) for over 10 years. During her tenure, she served as Vice President and assistant treasurer. She was a dedicated supporter of WIT’s scholarship program and believed that every student should have the opportunity to achieve his/her educational goals. Additionally, Jackie believed in giving back to the community and in helping those who are less fortunate. She was employed for 28 years with Alabama Farmers Association (ALFA) where she was loved and respected by co-workers.

She was immensely proud of her daughter, Lakiesha Williams, and her culinary business venture. So, to honor Jackie’s giving spirit and strong work ethics, this scholarship was established.

Criteria:

The scholarship is to be awarded during the month of April annually to a student enrolled in Culinary Arts at Trenholm State Community College. This student must exemplify a love for Culinary Arts and a great desire to learn and make a difference in their life and the lives of others. It should be a student who is impressive and capable of rising about the hardship they have encountered and who believes in him or herself.
