We are a community service organization with the purpose to help those who are less fortunate.

Our mission is to provide service to our families and the community in all phases of life. We promote ethical standards, sisterly love, and achievement of goals.

JC Penney Golden Rule Award

Women In Touch won the JC Penney Golden Rule Award(1998) for its exceptional volunteer service to the community.

How we get involved

Women In Touch have prioritized giving back to our community through various efforts. We support numerous foundations and organizations by providing financial resources, but most importantly, lending our time, listening to our community, and putting action behind our words. Below are a few examples of how we get involved:

Participates in Voter Registration Drives

Sponsored 50 Children’s memberships to the River Region Boys and Girls Club

Adopts families during Christmas holidays

Supported the Partners In Education Program at Southside Primary School in Selma

Supported and volunteered with SKIP (Saving Kids of Incarcerated Parents)

Co-Sponsored the annual Mother/Daughter Banquet at the Cleveland Avenue YMCA

Supported and volunteered for the Marines Toys for Tots program

Supported and volunteered with the Kidney Foundation Walk-a-thon

Provides scholarships for high school seniors and college students

Supported and volunteered with Habitat for Humanities home building projects

Donates to Odessa’s Blessing Annual Senior Christmas Celebration

Visits area nursing homes and provides activities and gifts

Sponsored the first Children’s Art Festival at the Cleveland Avenue YMCA

Supported the Fountain House, a halfway home for women

Donates to Montgomery Area Food Bank and Christmas Clearing House

Provides monetary assistance to families in need

Supports and volunteers with the Greater Montgomery Sickle Cell Radio-thon

Sponsored outings and pizza parties for the Brantwood Children’s Home

Supported the “Pack-A-Purse” program for females being released from prison

Supports and volunteers with Feeding the Multitude Ministry Thanksgiving Project
